- New increased scanning efficiency. This necessary function
makes an up to the minute assessment of the material
to be backed up on your computers. The upgrade presents
a considerable improvement in the efficiency of the
DataFort this necessary procedure.
- New increased transmission efficiency.
- New archive management tool – Auto CD-ROM ordering.
This feature will automatically remove files from
your archives and place them on a CD-R that can be
shipped directly to you. This feature gives you an
alternative if you don't want to leave old information
cluttering up your archives, but you want to retain
it just in case. Location: Server > Create CD-ROM
archive. Please note there is an additional fee for
this service.
- New file exclusion by extension. This tool helps you target
file types that you don't want to include in your
backups. Tools > File Search Wizard > Advanced
> Exclude file types.
- New file search by extension. Can't remember where all
your word documents are stored? This tool will highlight
all directories where your target file types are located.
Then you choose to backup those directories or not.
- New Network Health Check – Available for clients
with direct Internet connections. You can now opt
to have DataFort monitor your server status. This
feature is a proactive measure to protect against
faults that might impact your daily backup routine.
You can currently view the status of your network
on the DataFort client services website.
- New server file search – search for file by name.
To improve the ability to find or delete files from
the DataFort backup servers.
